Due to her “deteriorating condition,” BLACKPINK’s Jennie departed the group’s performance in Melbourne halfway through.

The K-Pop icons recently played at Melbourne’s Rod Laver arena as part of their extensive tour of Australia. Fans saw that Jennie, a member of BLACKPINK, skipped the soundcheck and left the stage midway during the performance.

The remaining three members successfully finished the performance and informed the audience that their bandmate had complained of feeling ill all day.

Following the performance, YG Entertainment issued a statement apologising to those who were disappointed and notifying fans that Jennie “was unable to complete the stage due to her deteriorating condition”.

“Jennie expressed her strong determination to continue the performance all the way through,” the rest of the statement read. However, we quickly took action to make sure she gets enough rest and stability after receiving local medical advice.

“Jennie has expressed her regrets for not being able to stay with the fans until the end, and assures that she will recover as soon as possible,” the statement concludes.
