The leader of the Taylor Gang has already given listeners a sizable amount of music this year, including the joint albums Stoner’s Night with Juicy J and Full Court Press with Girl Talk, Smoke DZA, and Big K.R.I.T. On April 20, following the project’s 10th anniversary on March 13, he also re-released his cult classic mixtape Taylor Allderdice on digital music platforms.
Nevertheless, the marijuana-friendly rapper said on Instagram on Tuesday, July 12, that the release date of his upcoming solo album Multiverse is set for July 29.
Hitmaka also confirmed his participation in the project on Instagram, claiming he has five new tracks planned with Wiz.
“New @wizkhalifa Album July 29,” he wrote. “Got a 5 piece on here. Always fun making music wit ya brothers!!
The Pittsburgh rapper’s Wiz Got Wings tape, which was totally produced by Sledgren and included features from Curren$y, Chevy Woods, and Larry June among others, was released in 2021 before the release of the new album.
The unveiling of the new album coincides with Wiz’s preparations for the start of his Vinyl Verse Summer Tour with Logic at the end of July. The Hollywood Casio Amphitheatre in St. Louis, Missouri, will host the Vinyl Verse Tour’s finale on September 2. The Vinyl Verse Tour will begin on July 27 at Irvine, California’s FivePoint Amphitheatre.
For the journey, Logic will also be joined by 24kGoldn, DJ Drama, Fedd The God, and C Dot Castro. On a few specific nights, Berner and Rubi Rose will play as special guests.
