In a significant recognition of their exceptional talent and contributions to the music industry, rising Ghanaian stars Black Sherif and Camidoh have both secured nominations at the inaugural Trace Awards.
Black Sherif, known for his poignant storytelling and unique blend of hip-hop and Afrobeat, has been nominated in two categories, Best Artist Africa Anglophone and Best Collaboration for his track “Second Sermon” remix featuring Burna Boy.
Camidoh, on the other hand, has carved his own niche with his smooth R&B sound and heartfelt lyrics has been nominated in Song of the Year for his smash hit song “Sugarcane”.
Olivier Laouchez, the chairman and co-founder of the awards, commended the remarkable creativity and dynamism displayed by African artists.
The Trace Awards, in their inaugural edition, stand as a platform to celebrate and honor the achievements of African artists who have left an indelible mark on the music industry.
